In an excellent introduction to Polynesian dance and culture, students will be taught the basic movements of a modern-style hula. In keeping with the story-telling nature of hula and to give students a more in-depth understanding of Hawaiian culture, Hawaiian songs will be translated, the meanings of dances will be explained, and the hula’s importance in Hawaiian culture  No experience is necessary
